        As someone who sees no problem with the image…

        There is no way people would be as tolerant if this were about like, Argentina, despite the country haven fallen victim to similar politicians. Or even Japan, another rich but declining nation with dominant Conservatism. Or Italy even, which is like Japan but mostly white.

          I mean, other than some folks jumping in to defend the honor of the Fatherland helpless foreign country which needs terminally online Americans to defend it, I don’t really know that there’d be a big difference in reaction.

          There’s not much here that’s… actually offensive unless you really try to read into it? “Ha ha, debt goes up, major restaurants, car type that’s fucking everywhere despite no reason for it, overused national symbol, food additive, regional hat, flag bikini, national obsession”

          I guess the diabetes bit?

          I don’t really know that an Argentine drawing the same tongue-in-cheek style pic with inflation, whatever national chains are prominent, vehicle jokes, regional dress, a national-team shirt, and a soccer ball would really get a majorly different reaction.

            Not saying any of it isn’t accurate for a portion of the population. But it doesn’t apply to everyone (we’re not a monoculture / planet of hats), and to paint 347,628,682 people with a mural of ugly stereotypes is, well, kinda racist / xenophobic.

            I once went to Texas and got complimented on my sombrero, though.

              I’m guessing you don’t go to many country music festivals.

              I had to work one back in the early 2000s and we started counting US flag to traitor flag bikinis and it was about a 3:1 ratio. Most of them were wearing cowboy hats and Daisy Dukes (jean shorts), but a few just had bikini bottoms.

    Even our eagle stole from someone else… Its trademark “screech” you hear on TV is a red-tailed hawk. Apparently eagles have a more “chattering” sounding call.

    How dare you insult the second gen ford lightning like that, it was a shitty truck that jad too much power and came with a fisher price quality interior but the yobbos have moved on from it now. It should be a mid 90s dodge ram diesel with extra wide wheels, low profile tires, and it’s tow mirrors out and a plume of diesel smoke billowing out of a poorly attached, trashcan sized, exhaust tip.

      I think Ford or Chevy would be a better brand match, but definitely the truck is the biggest problem with this image being accurate. The grill must be bigger because that indicates the owner’s size (inversely).
