  • You can like it but I have no idea why. Even if you exclusively use it as a chat app…it sucks. The most recent message is always pulled up/down(depends on settings). The nomenclature is terrible. Go to the ‘whatever team’ in Teams and post a message in the ‘whatever channel’. Saying that verbally to somebody makes it even less clear.

The notifications settings are woefully lacking. Somebody created a chat in the wrong Team? Can you move it? Nope. Had a productive conversation about something that you want to save? Can you export that chat? Nope.

Mind you these are all features in the top 20 or so of most voted on feature request in the Teams community website. So people really want them.

This is mostly a settings thing controlled by the admins but all of our messages auto delete after 60 days. So going back to double check that thing somebody said? Nope. Didn’t write it down elsewhere because it wasn’t important…until it was. That export chat feature would be super handy…

  • I buy almost exclusively physical media. I don’t care about streaming so crunchy roll was just a thing I ignored. Then they bought like everything… Funimation and Rightstuf/Nozomi being the largest. I use to have probably a grand on preorder with rightstuf at any point in time. Talking easily 10K+ a year. I haven’t bought a damn thing off crunchy roll’s site. I don’t care for the company and their site sucks. Which is saying something cause rightstuf’s site was slow and clunky but it was simple and got the job done. Crunchy roll’s store site is just a giant ad for their streaming service that they also happen to sell stuff on.

Also despise that I had to talk with customer support multiple times to get off their damn mailing lists that they just signed everybody up for because they converted rightstuf accounts. The ‘unsubscribe’ link in the email was broken…hell it’s probably still broken. Even though that violates laws…clearly they don’t care about those.

  • Music royalties are weird. Somebody that understood it way better than me explained it probably better than I will. From what I remember there is basically a performance, lyrics, and music portion. So when an artist covers a song they only get the performance part. The original artist gets the other two parts(assuming the music/lyrics weren’t written by somebody else). Since Al is redoing the lyrics he gets the performance and lyrics part but he’s still sticking money in the original artists pockets for the music portion. Most artists are plenty happy to have Al use one of their songs.

  • FedEx pointed out that shippers of high-value goods "can request Hold at Location or Direct Signature Required services, or redirect a package to FedEx Office”

Can’t tell you how many times FedEx has just completely ignored the direct signature required part. If it’s not something like alcohol where the government will crack down on them then they don’t care.

You can look up the signature for the package on their app. I can’t sign my name in Times New Roman…so clearly I didn’t sign for that. If I do sign for it then it’s an image of my actual signature.

They also have a bad habit of delivering stuff to my neighbor without ever setting foot on my property because apparently they can’t read house numbers…FedEx is terrible in my area.
