Yes it is, but eventually you’ll open your eyes and stop falling for the bullshit you’re being sold. Or you’ll ignore it until you get effected by it, just like conservatives always do.

(apparently my brain forgot the “visit” part of the meme and I typed this up thinking that it was about moving here)

It was difficult to get into Canada when I immigrated ten years ago (it was deeply complicated even as a sponsored individual), and I hear it’s even more difficult now. It’s a shame, because I know that the idea of escaping to Canada is a hopeful thing for many Americans. I was extremely fortunate. However, the housing shortage alone and a general anti-American sentiment has cast a huge shadow on new entries. Canadians remain as friendly as ever, but trust between them and Americans is also at an all-time low. People at work know I’m American and they love hearing my take on everything, but I don’t spread that information to new ears anymore.

I suppose it might be cool for Canada to do a 2-for-1 swap, where they send Texas pairs of whiny, privileged conservatives in exchange for good, left-leaning Americans who actually want to be here.

Not to take away from my neighbor Canadia or anything but in fact in every country except the U.S. and El Salvador you can enjoy the benefit of not being thrown in a Salvadoran gulag, try harder Canadia

Last I check, Canada isn’t accepting asylum applications from Americans, because having a wannabe dictator for president is apparantly not a good enough reason to be granted asylum.

Because Canada says “move to a state that is less terrible”, which is not entirely untrue, but also not entirely true.

it’s always so washed out, every. single. AI. IMAGE. regardless of style they all look washed out and flat. there’s zero vibrant colors for anything. One of them just gorged on this “trend” and all the rest of them followed suite eating the slop.

It’s gotten to the point now where you don’t even need to look at the inaccuracies with something, you just need to look at the colors to tell if it’s AI or not.

What does that mean? I’m unfamiliar with AI. Does that mean a human instructed an AI to make that pic or was it cranked out by the AI itself, programmed to scour and use news items from the digital world?

more specifically i’d say AI slop is when the style and content are painfully generic, not everything generated is automatically slop, but it’s very very very likely to be so.

I don’t even know what it is. Ive stared at it for at least a solid two minutes looking for errors. It screams AI to me but I cant find that detail that proves it. I hate that this is what sharing pictures online has become. Scrutinizing every little detail to see if I should care or not.

You don’t have to do that? It’s only a picture, the world won’t end if you upvote something made by AI.

There’s nothing about this image that can tell you with certainty that it’s AI generated, but it’s an art style that has been popular with AI generated images recently, probably due to the simplicity, which makes it harder for it to make mistakes. The trend means that a lot of junk has been showing up with this style and people have a negative association with it now.
