I have rewatched MGSV trailers multiple times, and I find this combination of 5+ minutes videos with scenes and music building the right atmosphere to be amazing. The other thing is, that for some, they created fake expectations of what story was going to be about.
Death Stranding first trailer is also great, it’s just one scene from the game, and you have no slightest idea what’s going on.
Trailers for the games I have played:
- Skyrim
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild
haven’t played
- Death Stranding
- Death Stranding 2
- Fallout 4
smash bros character reveals
Fallout 4’s announcement trailer still gives me chills. Shame the game itself never lived up to it.
The supreme commander trailer.
The E3 reveal trailer for The legend of Zelda: Twillight Princess still remains one if the most exciting moments in gaming history. I still get goosebumps when I see Miyamoto holding up the sword on stage to thundering applause. Even though the game is among the lesser memorable ones in the series now.
I also remember rewatching the Breath of the Wild E3 gameplay trailer dozens of time. It’s just so perfectly paced and cut with a perfect music score to go with it. But even though the game turned out to be as great as the trailer promised I couldn’t bring myself to buying the sequel. I’m just so done with Nintendo that I couldn’t really enjoy it.
How did no one say this yet? Duke Nukem Forever E3 2001 trailer
The cinematic trailers for OG Guild Wars.
The trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution has to be one of my favorites
Such a great game, and such a shame we’ll probably never get to play the conclusion to its story.
The most excited I have ever been for a trailer was when I saw an ad for Secret of Mana on TV; and it’s entirely because it was the first time I ever saw a video game advertised on TV and not just in magazines.
I always enjoyed the Portal 2 trailers with Cave Johnson
The Battlefield 1 trailer.
I had never played a Battlefield game, and that trailer got me pumped enough to buy it at launch. Also, WWI was such an interesting (and horrifying) war.
I like the ones that turn into tiny houses
Gears of War. You know the one.
And Dead Island.
Sonic Adventure will always stand out to me
