Bluesky is founded by Ex-Twitter people and financed from crypto scam and venture capital.

All centralized social media will have similar issues. At least it’s not run by musk.

This is why centralized social media (and messengers, too!) should be avoided at all cost.

Would be nice but seems the mainstream isn’t ready to do that yet. In the mean time, at least leaving Twitter is a start.

Probably talking about how Bluesky was literally started by Twitter, and being backed by Blockchain Capital. But that’s all i know.

Twitter was a problem before Musk bought it, and Bluesky is the same problem in a different package.

About Bluesky’s problematic management and funding.

Doesn’t Bluesky have a massive problem with radicals?

EDIT: notice a question mark. This is a question I was hoping to receive an answer for. Downvotes are not means of explaining things to people.

I don’t know, I don’t use it. But I’m curious about how you got this impression? And what do you mean by radicals, like crazy right wingers?

I hear a lot people say that it is currently a safespace for both left and right wing extremists. For me being moderate in views, that rumour alone tells me to keep out of there.

Well Lemmy has plenty of far left radicals and you’re on there.

Drag hasn’t seen any far left radicals on Lemmy yet except for @Grail@aussie.zone and the soulist movement, who aren’t a very significant presence.

Isn’t the reason we have microblog memes so we have one place to post content from all different platforms?
