I was confused reading that comic, because in French checkers is called “dames”.
So yeah, even in that game, the guy would barge in and command you to “lady” him.

You’re right, this is what they’ve been announcing. The games you’ve bought will still be available for download.
This is not the case with the sega games we’re talking about. The announcement specifically mentions the games will still be available to download if you bought them before the delisting.
Now play Fire Emblem. The S rank Sword of Ultimate Swording has 10 uses before it vanishes from existence. I’m keeping it in my inventory untouched forever.
Where I live, even our winter time isn’t close to be aligned with sun time (GMT+1 though we’re basically on the Greenwich meridian). Summer time is off by two hours.
Problem is, our school/work/activity schedules have been made to adapt to that, so having days centered around actual sun midday would sound like crazy talk to people. It’s just because of how we already compensated for it.
In France we did switch last week. Almost nobody cares about going out for trick or treat, though.
Not only nobody needs to do that trip that fast, but we’re not in the early 00’s anymore, and there has never been as many tools to communicate and collaborate remotely. So I’d expect a non-negligible part of these don’t even need to do the trip anymore if they want to save money and time.
Incroyable que ça soit encore autorisé cette merde.
Yeah, I am not sure I can relate either. My favourite games on the NES and SNES when I was a kid are still games I sometimes replay and enjoy today.
Closest thing to the comic I could find would be Ecco the Dolphin, maybe. I had the PC version, and I finished it a few times back then, I was stubborn and a bit bored. Not that long ago I tried returning to it, and maybe try the second game… And wow, it feels like a chore to play.
But even back then, it was not a game I liked that much. I liked how it looked, the creatures you’d meet and the crazy plot, but gameplay already felt tedious and stupidly unforgiving.
Probably why Tony Stark’s father is named Howard, too.
I’m usually rather passionate about space exploration and stuff, but we don’t need to send people to Mars that bad.
What do you find not tolerable in standard Firefox and what did this browser do that made it better?
I know firefox is rather memory heavy, but despite that it’s still my go-to browser, both for desktop and mobile.
The bear from “The bear and the maiden fair” disagrees.
Well it’s likely, the expeditions make everyone go to the same spots and this one is particular is supposed to be done without hyperdrive, so everyone is going to visit the same 5 systems and their planets.
Ben on va espérer qu’il perde beaucoup d’argent alors.
Which are not, by far, most people. I am not sure why you’re bringing the subject of banks. Of course they’re shitty and mostly run by bastards. Okay.
But cryptomoney people are not banks, or groups of individuals. They’re individuals. And they’re in it because of the “get rich quick” scheme and push others to get into the pyramid’s lower levels, because that’s how they might get richer. So they’re either bastards or being conned, or probably both.
Proof of work is a power/hardware catastrophe, and proof of stake is entrusting power to the already rich again. Crypto is not a new economy model, it’s a bad subset of the old one with fancy fake ideals.
Last time I checked, most individuals are not, in fact, banks.
For all the talks about freedom and “decentralised” utopia the crypto bro cults spew all the time, they are really just obsessed with making absurd amounts of money fast. Their only motivation is greed.
Can’t say I’m surprised some regard Dubai as a goal. They only see the rich man’s club, they don’t care about how the sausage is made.
Roberts is relatively well-known in and out of the Star Citizen community for being a perfectionist at the best times.
In a parallel universe, Roberts would have been allowed to continue working on Freelancer, and it would still be in development hell in 2024 with no end in sight.
Forgetting about the intrusion of shitty LLMs everywhere for a while… Who the fuck even uses notepad for something they would need redacted?
It’s not a actual writing tool, it’s a basic text file editor.
