I can see what folks mean by smug.
At the same time, I think he genuinely wants to provide the best experience and value for phone users.
As a OnePlus user before and after his involvement, and setting aside hardware differences, it’s small but notable steps backward in Oxygen OS since his departure. OP now literally copys iOS for many parts of it’s UI and I’m not a fan.
Either way, it’s not like this is aberrent behavior or speech from any CEO.

Yeah. I refuse to use my gym app, cause unnecessary, but there’s plenty of usecases where apps provide useful, specific efficiencies, not to mention the aesthetic improvements, and the ability to create and curate interaction.
Given a malware free world, apps can be cool.
If I get the right link and apply the formula, looks like I can at least post online images, if not from my phone.

Installed and logged in using Sync. Same issue, but says, “Could not upload image.”
If I copy and paste it says, “Sync pasted from your clipboard.” but nothing happens.
Bummer for sure.
I really appreciate your time, but I don’t know technically why I’m doing this, why it works, or how to replicate it going forward. Pretty annoyed with the inability to simply paste or upload.

Problem is any image I paste or upload gives me; “Problem uploading image. Please try again.”
If anyone can tell me why I can’t post images anywhere on lemmy, I’d appreciate it.
