More like Important Imperials…
some would argue that eating honey is not immoral
Sure.
The point of going vegetarian or vegan is to aim at a reduction of animal suffering and environmental footprint. Not to starve by choice. Agriculture is still better than more agriculture needed to consume meat.
What’s the problem exactly?
And we have to respect the peanuts’ right to be everywhere, right?
Peanuts and bees usually don’t invade your home. And if they did, some would argue it’s acceptable to get rid of them. I’m pretty sure you can figure this out.
Because cockroaches are considered harmful to humans, some people just can’t leave cockroaches alone and live correctly.
At least you can usually print them as PDF easily. My main issue is that the page title becomes “PDF.js Viewer - [Paper title]”.
This is actually inspiring. Not sure most poeple could afford installations like in the second video though. And the guy in the first video did have a point; it would be hard to share this lifestyle with someone else, or even just to invite friends at home up to a certain point.
The actual message and author aside, did anyone else notice how the text got shorter over time?
From 3 to 1 line over 10 years.
Literally Fahrenheit 451
Why would anyone bother learning both Vim and LibreOffice when LibreOffice supports every file format Vim does, and more?
Because Canada has the trashied oil production of the world. It’s all oil sands.
It’s better for the environment to import petrol from the US rather than produce it “locally”.
I suggest you read about QueerSatanic. TST is known to sue anyone who criticize them. So much for the freedom to offend, I guess.
About the separation of church and state, they haven’t achieved anything. What they fought for is not secularism, but plurality of religion, which is just as bad as nothing - they actually pushed for more religious symbols in public space, instead of fewer. About reproductive rights, or their activism in general, some people fear that they might be causing a second satanic panic, which can only end poorly for satanists all around the world, and give fuel for christian to think that abortion leads to hell.
And as a religion, you can realize that lot of things TST does is un-satanic to begin with; they are martyring themselves and proselytizing. At some point, they are doing the exact same thing they denounce from the christians in the US, like fiscal advantages for churchs and reaching children through an after school program.
If you want a simpler reason to not like them, just know that as a non profit organization, they are not sharing their finance records, which is usually a big red flag. If you want to give to a non-profit, you should at least know where your money is going. Plus, some local branches of TST are actually disaffiliating from the main organization because they don’t like how it’s managed. Finally, there are already organizations that are fighting for everything TST claims to stand for, without the religious cosplay and all the shit around them.
At this point it could also just be a phone app.
Intrusive thoughts are thoughts coming by themselves about bad things when you are somewhat close to a violent or dangerous situation.
For instance, if you give a baby to someone with intrusive thoughts, they could momentarily have the idea of hurting the baby, even if they don’t intent to. Or such person standing near a cliff or up a bridge could have the sudden urge to jump (often called “call of the void”). Or, someone with intrusive thoughts seeing a train coming at full speed in front of them could have sudden thoughts about jumping over the rails.
But who knows. Maybe it’s just me.
Less cops. More people with higher education.
Hotdogs outside. Empty inside. I think we can find a solution somewhere in the middle.
The what war, now? Do you mean the pain au chocolat war?
It says he’s a saver, not a retriever!
What would be the alternative? (assuming that you want to do the loop yourself)
new_results = []
for result in results:
if result:
new_results.append(result)
results = new_results
or else
for result in results:
if not result:
results.remove(result)
which doesn’t do the exact same thing.
Honestly, this list comprehension is much faster to read and quite easy to understand.
I think we could rename the “result” variable “x” or “res” and it would be less confusing though.
If they have the same mass, yes.
