The only real problem with lemme is that it’s not big enough to replace most niche communities on larger platforms. If I have a specific question about a hobby, video game, or whatever, I’m not using lemme. I hope to someday.
I miss the machinist subreddit quite a bit. There are some communities here, but they’re not very active. I’d post, but I don’t do enough machining right now to really generate much content.
That always makes it a bit worse. When I see ignorant comments on other sites, I usually tell myself it might be made by an edgy teenager. Can’t do that on Lemmy. That’s a grown adult praising North Korea…

Tankies stop mental development around age 12. So it’s hard to say how old they physically are.
