All these flag-huggers constantly violate flag code.

I don’t even give a shit about flag code, but the hypocrisy annoys the fuck out of me.

What do you mean “it’s disrespectful to hang the flag behind my pavement princess’s over-the-cab exhaust and roll coal”?

Brother this is 'murica, it’s disrespectful not to.

      /s, of course.

Everyone should know, US flag code is relatively new phenomenon, with the beginnings of it forming around 1942. My grandfather predated US flag code.

Similarly, flying the flag at half-staff/mast only goes back to 1954-ish.

Regarding the US flag & how it is presented, treated, there is a lot of customs & nuance that we’re just kind of making up as we go along. It seems as the world gets smaller, the rate of divergency & traditions is accelerating.

Most soldiers I’ve met don’t really care about the flag code. They dislike the flag being burned but currently there’s not much we can do about that.

I am (mostly) mindful of “flag code”, just out of my own personal respect & love for America. But it’s not law; the flag is made for Americans. Americans aren’t made for the flag, to structure our actions around what some guys said in 1942.

I realize it’s not law. But if you supposedly love the flag so much you do shit like Trump does and hug it, but ignore flag code, it’s hypocritical.

It spawned out of post-WWII American nationalism, and it is being ignored by people embracing pre-WWII German nationalism.

        Nothing to see here, folks

So are half of the US beating women? Are half of the US women got beaten regularly? Who do the women supporting Republicans beat? If people in the US were involved in domestic violence should they be counted automatically as voting for the Republicans?

They can. The social and ego hit of bailing is more than they can cope with, however.

If possible, show them kindness and understanding when they show signs of breakout out of the cult. It’s painful to take such a hit to your eg and admit your wrong. Too many people mock others in that situation. It just drives them back in deeper.

It’s not that hard to be a decent person. Listen to other people. Respect their boundaries.

And don’t forget… It had to be a totally unanimous verdict between 12 random people to convict him for the tax fraud at least.

So an incredibly high bar had been set, and 100% of them still convicted him on 100% of counts.

And he’s also a rapist obviously

          Convicted (civilly) on that, too.

Still hasn’t spent a hot minute in prison, though. Sentencing keeps getting delayed and prosecutions dropped by a bureaucracy that loathes punishing the wealthy and connected.

a cowardly weak rapist con man traitor loser

That’s simply the norm for social media personalities in the modern era. Donald Trump’s presidency is a product of half a century of misogyny in marketing, advertising, and influencing.

He won’t be the last rapist, con artist, or kleptocrat to run. He won’t be the last to win. Not so long as economic conditions for Americans continue to degrade, while fascist policy is championed as a panacea.

        This is my true fear.

Like…Trump makes W look good. He’s now got this public image of a slightly daffy uncle. Like 2000-2008 were just “Earnest goes to the Whitehouse”. As if he’s as dangerous and malicious as Mr. Bean.

By extrapolating from there…there’s gonna be someone that is gonna make Trump look good.

This progression is necessary, otherwise the Democrats would not be able to sell every election as “the most important election of our lifetimes.” The escalation of stakes is required.

The few women who would date a Trump supporter are already married… to their cousin, marriage was she was 16 and he was 35.

“Dating is hard for young boys, especially for unstable, undateable, ignorant, bigoted pieces of shit that actively hate women and are overall net negatives on the world, that as a bonus come from families of similar human failures, happy Thanksgiving dinner party! with open carry, kid rock background music during dinner and casual sexual assault attempts sprinkled throughout the day.”
