My feelings toward furries are entirely neutral and I don’t support the claim that normality is a positive automatically.

That said, I disagree with your claim.

How are your feelings towards them neutral if you don’t recognize them as normal human beings? Are they lesser human beings because they like to put on silly costumes?

Ok, maybe I understood something wrong here but specifically saying someone is not a normal human instead of just them having a weird hobby sounded to me like they were trying to say that. But I also hate how much furries are getting hated on for no reason, so I get kinda mad when I see stuff like that.

In this very comment you said “having a weird hobby.” There’s nothing wrong with having a weird hobby, but it’s not normal.

None of my favorite people are “normal.” So long as their hobbies don’t cause harm to anyone, that’s fine.

It’s a distinctly not normal hobby, and sometimes a sexual fetish. That’s ok.

A substantial majority of people do not fetishize (not necessarily sexualize) anthropomorphic animals, dress in ears and tails, or wear full on fursuits. Furries are not normal by definition. Being abnormal is not intrinsically bad.

It’s generally good! Diversity of thought and behavior, like genetics, leads to healthy and robust systems.

Sorry, I got kinda mad because I hate when a group of people gets bullied just because others see them as weird and I thought this was an instance of this happening. You’re right tho.
