If the user had Bitdefender installed, he wouldn’t be able to unzip the file because the security solution would identify the threat and move it to quarantine.
Whilst this may indeed be an attack that’s currently seeing a resurgence, the fact that it’s a marketing article doesn’t give me a lot of confidence in that.

No they can’t? There is no mechanism for a state to unilaterally secede from the United States. That is literally one of the main causes of the American Civil War? This isn’t me trying to ignore the slavery issue, it’s still the root cause. However, seceding from the union is what directly caused the war itself.

If I recall correctly, that cost was a large blowout due to an expensive provider, and blahaj has now migrated to a provider that has more reasonable fees.
The same issue still arises, that the people who need to immigrate most, cannot afford to and won’t be allowed into our country. If you want to change that, get your arse down to your local MPs office and push for asylum status for trans americans.

I don’t think we need this sort of fear-mongering. Signal’s encryption is fully open source, it has been vetted by cryptographers far more experienced with this stuff than you or I. They even introduced, a few years back, an encryption algorithm that’s future-proof against quantum computing.
All you are doing is potentially pushing people away from one of the few known-safe options. That’s the opposite of helpful.

I used to work as a chef here in Australia. One workplace I was at had the head chef both participate, and condone, in a culture of ruthlessly doing this. I was constantly targeted, because I was obviously queer, even tho I was cis male-presenting at the time and married. One day I was locked in the cool-room with two other chefs, much larger than me, who pulled my pants down to do this to me, as well as trying to get me hard. All to prove that I was actually gay and lying to my then wife. It was the catalyst that finally made me come out, as despite trying to force myself into the closet, it somehow was still obvious that I was queer to people. And yeah, I’m gay, but gay for girls.
What a dumb thing to say. Australia has the same things said about it, yet we aspire to be closer to the NZ system. Neither of us is anywhere close to the disaster of US politics. It would take fundamental changes to our voting laws to “catch up” to them.
I use Asus routers running the merlin (soft) fork of their Asuswrt firmware. There are a couple of binary closed source blobs, but the rest is open.
As a trans femme Victorian (Australian state), I would agree with this. Preferential voting helps stop the worst of fascism’s rise in Aus. The majority of people in the big cities couldn’t give a fuck if you’re trans. There are areas that are still not very safe, but they are known constants that can be avoided, and are ticking slowly towards acceptance. Progress isn’t always linear, but there’s not a snowflakes chance in hell that we backslide as far as the US has. It was even a right-wing government that passed same-sex marriage laws here.
However, I will note strongly that we still have a lot of issues with racism in this country.
