13 years in a stable relationship, I can’t picture myself doing it, it’s just a huge waste of everybody’s time and money.
I also despise being invited to weddings. As a guest you spend hours with everyone else but those who are getting married, as they are busy saying yes each other, saying thank you to each of their 200 guests, and sit then the whole evening at another table.
Let me spend a nice evening individually with each of the friends and family that would have normally been invited, for the 10% of the budget and my full time and attention.
The noun that describes a person or thing from a place is a “demonym”. American, Michigander, Californian, New Yorker…
it’s on the wikipedia page of most places
fucking imagine it!
now that’s helpful! 🤩
kudos for posting an uncensored “fucking”!
Baptized catholic by my parents, did all the ritual things all my youth until i was 16. Then i was old enough to try to understand it, got exposed to other schools of thought, and it all collapsed like a house of cards.
I am now fully atheist, and I find religion ridiculous, like fairy tales for adults, based on nothing. Organized religions are also usually structures of power for men. This can all go.
My spirituality would be:
We are made of star-stuff. Temporary piles of molecules which work together and stop after a while, to recombine into something new. I don’t need to be remembered, I don’t need to leave my mark. Just try to do no harm, any maybe help others along the way, while on this ball of rock and water, tumbling into the immensely empty void.
The fastest I drove was 262 km/h on the German highway (which has sections without a speed limit). At this speed, you have to watch as far as you can, because a car on the left lane overtaking other lanes will usually be at most 180 km/h there, so you have to be prepared to slow down a very long time in advance.
300 km/h is just dangerous, you have to be fully concentrated to adapt to the other drivers and it leaves a very thin margin to react (if any), should something happen. You definitely put your life and the one from others around you one the line doing that.
My experience wasn’t particularly pleasant, but it was nice to feel once how the car behaves at its maximum rated speed. I haven’t done it again. But I’ll regularly drive above 160 km/h to just go with the flow.
Techniquement tout le monde était derrière elle comme elle est arrivée première ! :D
Ça fait plaisir de voir la prochaine génération avec tant de talent !
Jesus mais j’avale pas
5G, also when roaming internationally. Data is not unlimited in my case because i don’t subscribe to their home internet offer, but 350 GB is functionally unlimited for me, I never reach 50 GB in a month. DSL/Fiber Subscribers get unlimited data and pay only 9.99€ for mobile service.
