I buy all my fruits and veggies straight from the orchard, farm stands or the Amish. Often the products are dirty, have flaws, uneven shapes and varying states of ripeness. I can pay .90 for a cucumber at the store or, five for a dollar at the stand or, pick my own at the Amish farm for .10 a piece. I haven’t shopped in a store since the Covid price hikes. I now eat better, lost weight, cholesterol, sugar and BP all down. I also planted my own berries, plum and apple trees. Cannabis, too. I can wash my own damn fruit. Just say no to corporate greed.

I have a few dozen gallons of water stashed in my basement but I also purchased three water filters which I can use to get water out of my lake or any stream. I have Sawyers and Katadins.

This is how my sister and I do our road trips. We get in the car and drive until we are tired then search for a hotel. If we find a town we like we might stop there even if the day is young.

I shop at the bin stores where they have a ton of Amazon and WalMart products. Some are returns but I always test them at the store and have found a ton of stuff for $4 or $10. I just bought a wet suit, 7 head electric shaver, fog machine, 4 smart bulbs, 3 USB plugs, hand warmers, queen sized inflatable mattress, ice bath tub (to wash my dog) and a Dirt Devil all for $72.
