Staplerfahrer Klaus, a real classic. I even have it on DVD somewhere.
Heh, fortunately one pair of shoes in my shoe collection aren’t purple. They are a dark fuchsia. So I’m not gay.
I’m disappointed you didn’t reset the trip counter 69 miles ago.
IIRC they need to fly the cold war jets like this - below radar - as their electronic capabilities are too bad, so a more modern russian jet could launch a missile at them just before the old Ukrainian jet sees a threat.
That is one of the reasons Ukraine urgently needs more modern material like enough numbers of F-16. While also being not the most modern jets those at least have some decent radar capabilities and can also be used as interceptors for air defense.
No no, not the comfy chair!
Did you get a raise?
I had this happen a lot, then I was zapping around the TV aimlessly for hours.
It turned out I was out of energy. Mental battery empty.
One of the biggest changes was - I trained myself to have rest days where I do “nothing” every week (that is “nothing which taxes me. mentally”, so also no meeting with friends or so). As long as I have enough energy left, I can compensate for a lot of stuff - so I make sure I have enough energy. (Playing on the console is fine, watching TV is fine, cooking is relaxing me, even doing a limited number of chores)
Those undestimulated days are rare now, compared to 4 years ago.
I have a Bluetooth controlled vibrator. Reverse engineered the app (which has a chat function) and it has a blacklist of words (mainly Chinese) you’re not allowed to text using the app.
I did not check if your horny chat gets copied to Chinese spy agencies, but I suspect that will be done on the server.
Time to make a punk leather jacket with the sylt logo on the back.
https://xkcd.com/37/ oh wow, I need some mind-bleach now.
From what I can see from an EU perspective: The training you get to become an officer in the US seems to vary a lot between places. That explains lot of differences.
Also it’s quite short IMO. Here in Germany it takes 2 1/2 years to become a policeman, 6 Months of these as a trainee. And still we have a number of problems.
I was once calling the police because there was a guy screaming loudly in front of my apartment building.
He was not threatening, just really confused, was obviously looking for his home, I had the impression he was autistic or on some kind of spectrum and it was below -5C - cold enough that it’s really dangerous to fall asleep outside.
I called the police because I thought he just needed help and someone to look after him to take him home.
Yes, I do trust police in my country.
Because behind the carrier grade NAT I don’t get a routable IPV4 at all, so no inbound connections.
With the IPV4 I use I do use dyndns now, so I can resolve it from outside.
IPV6 is already rolled out in parts of the world. My provider has a Dual Stack lite architecture, the home connection is over IPV6, IPV4 is normally being tunneled through a provider grade NAT.
As I AM a network nerd, I pay for a dedicated IPV4 address every month, so I can reach my stuff from outside from old IPV4 only networks.
A lot of places overheat the milk until it becomes “construction foam” (Bauschaum). That would explain the bad taste.
I’m frothing milk at home when I want a cappuccino, so I put it into a metal vessel and hold the vessel with my hand during foaming so I can feel when the milk is nearing 80C (feels uncomfortable)
But as coffee goes, everyone has their own taste, so if you prefer cold milk - you do you. (I have another friend who likes the milk scalding hot, close to boiling - when she’s visiting I’ll make her coffee like she prefers, even if my mind goess “THIS IS SO WRONG”)
There’s another trick - checking against street maps. When you walk/drive/ride around a corner the phone can use it’s inaccurate GPS reading and update it according to where the corner is. Of course it doesn’t use ONE corner. to fully update your position, it just nudges the position a bit closer.
In case you are navigating a lot of street corners, after a time an inaccurate GPS position will be corrected.
There’s even more input to the algorithm (location of known WIFI Hotspots for example etc) and they are all combined with a “Kalman filter”.

Vorsicht vor dem Limbotänzer!
Oh, so you think things are less insane here in EU? Ha!
