I’m saying they didn’t do a good job of conveying mature emotions. Anyone who can relate to their work has the emotional intelligence of a pre teen. A lot of Americans are stuck in that phase.

I can’t wait to not be able to afford diapers since racist rednecks elected a clown. It’s like being held hostage on a train that’s headed for a brick wall. Trying to raise a family through this is so hard.

I know it’s not a popular take, but I don’t like Poe or Hawthorne. I always felt like their shallow exploration of death/edgy topics really only appealed to the immature or unintelligent reader.

I can see their work on a shelf between The Nightmare Before Christmas and a Dashboard Confessional CD- maybe a Jr High textbook as well.

They’re openly fascists. I don’t know why you’re trying to split hairs. They’re not hiding it.

No you don’t. Fascists shouldn’t be given time of day. People who don’t act with integrity or good faith don’t get to sit with civilized society. The ideas aren’t valid and don’t have any merit. They come from uneducated people who have had their head filled with hate and prejudice. They’re not good citizens or decent people. They’re hate filled time bombs. They’re so mentally weak they gave into hating other people based on prejudices talking heads have them.

They don’t get a seat. They’re opinion is not valid. They should be ostracized by all civilized society until they stop being antisocial and destructive.

And that’s the nice, merciful and patient option.
