I’ve just wishlisted it, so yeah I’ll keep an eye on it. Cheers mate, that looks like a good un
Great I’ll check em out, thanks mate. I’m going to send this comment to my brothers. Yeah I’m thinking we can do co-op gaming.i don’t think we really want to play against other people, we’re pretty much looking for a private playground until we get good enough to play with the clever kids!
Tbh not really. I’m the only one who’s at all flexible - I can do steam deck or old laptop (3050). But electricity is an issue for me, I’m not on mains electric just solar & batteries, and the steam deck is much less power hungry. Both my brothers have kids and homes to pay for. We’re not broke but can’t really upgrade tech without having to budget. We were hoping to find something that’ll work for us all.
Thanks, I’ll check it out!
I’m forwarding this whole thread to my brothers, we’ll agree on something. I like the look of sniper elite 5, thanks!
Lol we actually played worms Armageddon against each other before. If it still has stuff like exploding sheep etc it be a good game to play with their kids
Hmm left for dead 2 seems possible for steam deck at least. I’ll check with the others. Yeah we could do co-op, but I don’t think we wanna play against other humans. Just something we can catch up an have fun for two or three hours each week
It doesn’t have to be against each other, but I think at least to start we wouldn’t want to play with other randoms cos we’re all pretty amateur level.
Yeah we’ve been trying to find something but like you say the platforms seem to be a problem for most things
Damn, why’d you have to bring up the sun again?
Our first TV remote was on a cable! This would have been in the early 80s I think.
Yeah fair point. Boeing has a degraded reputation these days but at the mo we don’t know why it broke up. Probably never will. I’m kinda going on Occam’s razor here.
Great, more bits of dangerous junk in orbit. The fuckers should have to clear up their mess before it fucks up other satellites.
Yeah, same with me. But I knew the ball was pushed and rolled to the edge of the table and then fell, so I feel like I got the most relevant bit.
Tbh I’ve never been good at visualising faces, recognising people I know, retracing a route I’ve taken etc. This just feels like one of those things I’ve never really been great at.
Interesting. . . I’d say Gemma 2B wasn’t actually wrong - it just didn’t answer the question you asked! I wonder if they have this problem with other letters - like maybe it’s something to do with how we say w as double-you . . . But maybe not, because they seem to be underestimating rather and overestimating. But yeah, I guess the fuckers just can’t count. You’d think a question using the phrase ‘How many . . .’ would be a giveaway that they might need to count something rather than rely on knowledge base.
Yeah, I’ve been avoiding this stuff the past few months by only letting my laptop online for quick essentials things. It’s windows, I can’t replace it with a mac so it’s gotta be linux. Most online stuff I can do on my phone. But I can’t put it off forever; I’m going to have to try the linux dual boot thing sooner or later. I’ve been putting it off because I’ve not used linux since the 90s and I really don’t have time to re-learn. Gotta be done tho.
Edit - your semicolon inspired me to try one of my own!
TBF I know only one militant vegan and she’s been outspoken about it for years. I eat meat, I either just tell her to fuck off or ask if all her cocaine is ethically sourced. She’s used to it.
But yeah, all the other vegans I’ve known are really chill.
historically humans aren’t usually burning down libraries on purpose.
Sometimes they are, Baghdad springs to mind, I’m sure there are other examples. And this library is online so there’s less chance of getting caught with a can of petrol and a box of matches.
Then there’s every authoritarian regime that tries to ban or burn specific types of books. What we’re seeing here could be more like that - an attempt to muddy the waters or introduce misinformation on certain topics.
This is actually how things used to be done before we had police, at least in England.
Thanks mate, appreciated. Yeah I also seen a recurrent pattern in peoples’ suggestions, just what I was hoping for when I posted the question!
