Not sure if it’s exactly what you mean, but the YouTube channel Project Kamp is a bunch of folks who’ve bought some land in Portugal to experiment with sustainable living.

I always do this. My gym has push-button showers, and I always do it there too. However, yesterday, my stupid brain thought “but what if you elbowed the button while towelling off?” Never done that before, but somehow did it almost immediately after I thought that, soaked my towel. Cheers brain.
I would encourage the use of a stronger term than “let”. The sooner that they can be forced to bootstrap themselves up there en mass, the better. And if their crappy tech fails in them just outside of warranty (space suit warranty limited to Earth orbit, do not expose to harsh conditions/full vacuum/human urine/martian dust. Glass cover not included), well too bad.

It’s not the only problem with them, and potentially not the biggest either - there is no plan to remove or maintain them when they die other than de-orbiting them into the upper atmosphere. A recent study suggests that this will critically harm the ozone layer, and that adding metallic particles in the quantities implied by the number of starlink satellites that Elmo plans to launch could do far more damage to the ozone layer than our previous attempts to screw it up!
