Unfortunately, Elon is spearheading the attempt, and we all know which way he swings…
No, they just believe in the honesty of people. Well, that and they probably also figured that having an aggregate of answers and the upvote/downvote system, they can ferret out a response.
And how does one do that while meming “the man, the myth, the legend”?
No, if they want to be gendered appropriately, they should have it in their username.
though I’ve been saying “munis” for short.
“comms” is my go-to.
I always railed against this. I’m using clockwise-lockwise from now on.
They show up italicized for me, iOS Thunder app
I get what you’re saying, and I agree, but at this juncture, there’s nothing to be done. We only get a duopoly because of our voting system. It’s shit, we should change it.
What’s your political alignment, friend?
As much as I know Kamala is the status quo which is not my bag either for many reasons (genocide being one), I know things can be much worse. And, unless you’re an accelerationist (doubtful from a .world-er), isn’t it better to not give ultimate power over genocide or expulsion of immigrants to this supreme egomaniac?
What is your point?
I love how this dude refuses to acually run against Kamala. It not a black man, it’s not Obama, you’re running against doofus, it’s a Black Woman. And, unless you’re a police officer, that’s at least 10x scarier for you.
protects students from being compelled to salute the American flag or say the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools.
Students are not being compelled to salute or say the pledge, only stand and be quiet. Teachers are the ones compelled to recite the pledge every day.
It is a law in my state that all students must stand and all teachers must recite. Most of the students recite too, but no one but teachers are forced to.
Yeah, we don’t need a song about war to remind us how we got here, we need a song about togetherness to remind us how we should be.
Can we make a pledge to be a good and productive person?
In countries without capitalism and property rights, the billionaires are the government and the judiciary and the military.
In the US, they just have solidified a really good means of controlling it… I mean, the amount we don’t tax them, the super PACs we let them contribute to, and the control they have over our media is definitely a form of control that may not be “as bad” as other systems (arguably) but it seems like it’s really similar.
I mean, underfunding our own governmental space program might also be a contributing factor. 🤷
Elon Musk poses a clear and present danger to American national security. The sooner the US government revokes his security clearance, terminates its contracts with him and the entities he controls, and builds its own alternatives to Starlink and SpaceX, the safer America will be. (emphasis mine$
The government not doing that in the first place lead to SpaceX having the monopoly, so I think that is part of the problem.
Presently and no.
