NetGuard provides simple and advanced ways to block access to the internet - no root required. Applications and addresses can individually be allowed or denied access to your Wi-Fi and/or mobile connection.
Blocking access to the internet can help:
reduce your data usage save your battery increase your privacy
Edit: Uses the same slot as VPN on a phone. Thus you have one or the other. Not both. PC is different.
Cutoff internet access on all apps that expressly do not need it. Install Netguard or the likes if you don’t used a VPN and see what apps are calling home.
Check out Posteo!
I will look into this. Thanks. Rhasspy is super intensive for setup. Such a cool option but too niche currently for my use. EDIT: This is cool. Self hostable here a link for others to check it out. https://sepia-framework.github.io
I looked into Mycroft but sadly they have shutdown is appears. Their lead Dev left and went to work on Home Assistant. I think Home assistant is dominant in this space. But things aren’t refined for plug and play use. Yet! They are making major strides in the space though.
Desktop, Librewolf
Mobile Brave, Mull
I really love the idea of setting this up. I keep up fairly with these types of projects. I just lack the time to implement this myself. Which is why I was mentioning a mainstream service and finding a way to privatize it. I plan to use the assistant for work. I work long hours. By the time I am done for the day I feel cooked. I need a relatively plug and play system. How could I help privatize say an echo dot? Or some other mainstream Voice Assistant.
Fruit and Veggies should be in order from least ripe to most ripe to make it easier to eat a healthy diet overtime.
Leon looks promising. I need something online though. For internet based questions and answers. I’m not sure if Leon is internet capable or have such extensive usages for daily use. That’s why I wondered if it would be easier somewhat to privatize a main stream voice assistant. I know there is drawbacks either way with what I need to do.
Can you use say futo voice input with OpenAi’s API why does one need to use whisper. And Wyoming seems to be an integration with home assistant.
This is why I choose not to have kids. Actually because current state of affairs and their like a boat anchor to freedom.
Most major American sites no longer accept these and they have become finnicky including locking the card so you have to call the call center to reopen the lock. This is due to curb laundering. Walmart in person works. Gas stations work. Used to work everywhere now, not much.
Good job!
Drip drops. Thank me later.
Drip drops help me, body amours aren’t enough. I want to try LMNT. Or some other brands.
I have never heard of stones this High. Japanese rates to 8000 grit at highest. Explain?
You forgot Bose their ANC is insanely good. Sennheiser aren’t impressive to match their high price at least not the model I tried speakers are good but fitment and feel they put all the money into drivers and sound rather than comfort wait for gen 2 or 3. I tried the newest Sony 1000xm5 earbuds and headphones and they didn’t hold a candle to jabra, crapple, Bose. Only kind I tried and didn’t like was the JBL (mid brand), and Samsung buds.
I love Mulls new browser fork of Firefox but on Gos it weakens the security due to a sandbox implementation not being as strong vs Chromium. I hate big corpo who don’t. Brave seems to be the best mobile for now. Sucks but soon as sandboxing issue is fixed. Firefox FTW!
Then perhaps this could be a way for you to lockdown internet traffic to and from your device. Major privacy improvement.
