I can relate to this so much lol. I’m very tall and I remember getting into the Mercedes of a little old lady. The seat started moving forward while the steering wheel extended towards me. Felt like I was about to be featured on the hydraulic press channel.
I’ll do that right after I store a fork, a toy car and some random bottle caps in my personal safe.
Yup, that’s what I do too. Mine are mounted to /media/user/ by default.
According to Wikipedia, Deus Ex MD, Hitman, Life is Strange 1&2, and the new Tomb Raider trilogy all have native Linux ports.
That’s pretty cool. Square Enix is one of the better AAA-publishers when it comes to Linux support, they had native ports for Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, Hitman and a bunch more.
Lemmy is also not tracking the sites you visit. Everytime you click on a link on reddit, you’re redirected through out.reddit.com.
If the CEO of Lyft got repeated warnings that this very thing was happening and ignored them willfully, then yes. In the end he has nobody to blame but himself. It’s no different from hosting a file sharing platform without ever vetting the content and wondering why the cops show up one day. The stupidity of going to France knowing that you’re a wanted man in a number of countries is just the cherry on top.
This is more like arresting the getaway driver, not the car manufacturer.
Exactly. Telegram has a ton of public channels full of content that is illegal in most EU countries and refuses to comply with any local laws on things like hate speech. They know perfectly well what their platform is used for, they just don’t care. It would be a wildly different case if everything were E2E encrypted by default.
Not really comparable because the illegal content is hosted and distributed through his servers. Which is why most sites are moderated to a degree. This dude basically said “fuck off” whenever takedowns were issued. It’s hardly a surprise that he’s been arrested.
It’s pretty close to a Duke Nukem Forever situation at this point.
I was just wondering if we’re gonna get any news of the prequel during Gamescom. So glad to hear that it was not among the games 2K cancelled earlier this year. Hangar13 did great with the Mafia Remake so I am extremely hyped for this.
Russia has basically destroyed most of their elite and veteran force early on in the invasion. Most people arriving at the frontline have barely any training. They do recruit around 1000 new “volunteers” every day, so the numbers are just a bit behind their average daily losses. But the quality of the new troops is of course abysmal.
This is far from the “end” for the Kursk incursion. I expect Ukraine to hold the territory for quite some time as the war within their own borders has shown that fortified trenches and defensive lines eventually lead to static frontlines. These gains were possible because their force is highly mobile in barely defended areas. Russia can’t put up any defenses close to the invading force because they would be in artillery range and have to put up their lines way beyond what Ukraine currently controls.
We’ll see if the Russians eventually resort to human wave tactics in Kursk, which seems to be the way they approach fortified lines. But even then it will take them a long time to make any progress and they currently don’t have the manpower needed for such assaults.
A lot of them will be used as camper vans anyways. Just remove the seats and enjoy the additional space.
According to the source, about 10 people flatly refused to board the buses. They are now being held in a separate room and threatened to be sent there “by force.”
Genius way to increase the chances of desertions and “friendly fire” incidents.
This lighthouse is the oldest building in my city (Hamburg, Germany). It was completed 714 years ago. I actually had to look it up, I was kind of expecting the oldest building to be older than that.
