So true. If you are lacking knowledge on a topic, asking questions is always the best approach.

None.
When a man lies he murders some part of the world.
– Merlin (Excalibur, 1981)
If you know something to be false and try to pass it off as truth, that is lying. It doesn’t matter how you phrase it or try to hide behind symantics like “I’m just asking questions” or “it’s just a hypothetical”.
That being said, it does not mean that you cannot contribute to a conversations if you are not an authority on a subject. If you are not sure or cannot recall a credible source for your information you can preface your comment with something like “I never confirmed the validity of this, so I may be completely wrong, but…”.
I can’t stop staring at the dent he made in the hood of that car. 🙄
Not born wealthy, but there was Ronald Read who lived a modest life resulting in a multimillion dollar estate when he passed in 2014. He left most of it to local library and hospital.
While not a term maybe a short blurb like “While I am not religious, I admire many of the lessons of Jesus as portrayed in the Bible, and I try to model parts of my life after his example.”
If applicable you can also add “Along with others I consider to be positive examples for leading a good and virtuous life.”
Yes. Thanks for catching that.
There is a lot of good messaging in the Bible, the Quran, the Torah, etc. You don’t need to be religious to appreciate that. Just like how somebody who appreciates in the mission and words of The Amazing Randy does not need a special label.
The labels start to come into play when discussing your belief or disbelief in a god or gods.
It’s been a few years since I last bought a TV, but I’ve been happy with my Sony. About once or twice a year I get a “software update available” message, which is weird since it has never been connected to any network, but I just dismiss it and continue my regular usage.
I hope a significant number of them get new jobs and quiet quit to get that double paycheck for as long as they can.
For all of the doom and gloom of that view of the big picture, I do see a lot of beauty and good in the little things. That’s where I like to focus most of my energy.
It’s not like everybody woke up one day and “ah shit, everything’s fucked! How the hell did that happen. This is unprecedented!” The scale and tools might be new, but that’s about it.
The problem is that “continue on as normal” basically means to continually get progressively worse. Greed and oppression will increase. Division and bigotry will keep growing. Science and logic will be ignored or manipulated by those seeking power. This will ultimately culminate in some sort of horrifically deadly breaking point. Then we reset a little bit and start the cycle all over again and again until the humans go extinct.
I know that this is an incredibly pessimistic take, but that’s my view of current events.
Until I hear that they have dumped the requirement to log into Ubisoft Connect or Uplay or whatever they are calling it noe, then Ubisoft will remain dead to me.
Makes me sad. I really enjoyed the Assassin’s Creed series and have waited for Shadows for what feels like a decade now.

My sister-in-law was diagnosed a couple of years ago. It has only improved the quality of her life by allowing her to work with her doctor on a treatment plan that has mitigated the health issues she used to struggle with.
She is currently looking at going for a PhD in the field of her chosen career.

For the curious the other endorsement they made was for Joe Biden in 2020.
I left Private Internet Access (PIA) for Proton VPN after the Kape acquisition years ago. Still happy with my decision and I recommend Proton VPN to anybody in the market for personal VPN services.
Drink water.
So many odd physical conditions ended up being the result of dehydration and went away once I started drinking water throughout my day. I was in my 30s when I learned that one.
