Desktop:
Windows. Got the thing a few years ago and didn’t bother installing Linux since I was still new to it and didn’t have the drive to learn enough about Linux to go through with it. Haven’t done it now because I’m probably upgrading in less than a year and no point since I can just use it for experimenting with server stuff.
Laptop:
My last couple laptops have ended up with Linux on it. On my absolutely shitty pawnshop laptop I broke something in windows, making it so I couldn’t do a lot of admin things since there was technically no admit account. Didn’t feel like paying for a fresh installation on the shitty thing, so I instead switched it to Ubuntu, which I had in a thumb drive because I was trying to follow a guide telling me how to fix my windows issue, which didn’t work at all.
My current store bought laptop runs a Debian fork that I wanted to try, MX. I quickly ran through the win11 setup process before removing that bloatware OS off it. Now I have things set up in a way that works just right for me, despite not being able to figure out why the headphone jack has a problem where it’ll only play very staticy, very low volume sound at max volume depending on how loud the original audio is. I’ve given up on that, though, because I’m not smart enough to figure it out and have already switched to a wireless bluetooth set that works.
Somebody take all the people who “renovate” old homes by removing literally any and all charm and likability out of a home and shove them in the next rocket to the moon. It’s grey, so their absolutely bland souls and static filled brains would have a blast there.
It’s ONN, but I’ve been told that it’s a Walmart brand, so I don’t question it because it’s cheap. That, and I haven’t seen that brand in any other stores.
Never gonna happen because I’m white and look absolutely nothing like him, but I wouldn’t mind having Jam Hsiao play me. Don’t know if he’s done more than Green Door on Netflix, but I’d still absolutely enjoy it.
Though, if it was animated, I’d want kid me voiced by Cree Summer because she is my all time favorite voice actor/actress.
The delusion that the world will inevitably turn out fine, despite occasionally saying the opposite. That, and the massive amount of stuff I still wanna do (games to play) and experiences to be had (music to be listened to, shows to be watched, computer mumbo jumbo to be learned)
Well, ever since the whole thing where macrohard/mojangles/whichever decided “you know what minecraft needs? CLIENT SIDE CHAT SCANNING AND CENSORSHIP!” I decided to switch over to Minetest and have never looked back.
I don’t mind big servers having censorship because that’s their deal and they can use whatever chat filters/plug-ins they want, but do we really need singleplayer to be censored? Or our chat messages to be scanned for things mc deem inappropriate? Absolutely not!
First, I couldn’t do this because I don’t have access to the server since it’s a Neocities page. Second, I have absolutely zero clue whether this would work.
I wouldn’t mind setting up a tiny 1 pixel dot in the very top corner of the site where nobody would ever click. You click it, you get sent to a page that will log your IP to a list of banned IPs. Don’t know if bots could get around that, but scrappers probably would get caught out by it.
Out of the games I’ve played, OSU. I am pretty average at rhythm games where it’s like Project Sekai or the Miku Diva style games where all you have to do it wait and click a button or tap somewhere specific at a fixed location on screen, but I absolutely suck at the whole move the mouse and click thing. Just as bad with mouse as when I tried with my beginners tablet.
Most other games I play anymore are games I know I’m at least decent at, so I don’t have many games I’d consider the hardest or even to compare those too. Though, while writing this and thinking about it, I’d say I might compare OSU to Vib-Ribbon in general, default songs or not, and possibly even give it a close second for difficulty. And that’s despite it being more of a wait and click type rhythm game in my eyes.
I use it on my laptop running a Debian based distro with KDE because I like how I can open the start menu thing. But for some reason I don’t do it on my desktop.
Love is a bit of an overstatement, but I got a cheap Walmart brand USB hub for my laptop since it only has a single USB male (female?) port and I needed more for my mouse and thumb drives. Definitely worth it to ensure I could save work to my thumb drive at college.
Outside of home, no. At home? Just my room where I can relax and snuggle with my stuffed animals on my bed.
I personally don’t mind them, but I personally think the best kinds of random encounters are ones like pokemon randomizers where you step in the grass in a modded gen 3 game with every single pokemon in existence in it and it randomly pulls from the list of 1000+ mons in order to give you a feeling of true randomness in team building. Especially since you aren’t able to predict which creatures you will get.
Having a random table containing only a few different encounters isn’t anywhere near as fun and exciting as randomly having gods spawn as your enemy as a beginner in a randomized game followed by the weakest creatures in the game a moment later.
I wish I knew my first ever Dead Money playthrough that I could spare Dean. Didn’t know that he’d get pissed off if you pass any skill checks with him. I was kinda surprised when he wanted to kill me because I clearly didn’t pick up on him wanting me dead.
The only time I actually care is if it’s an indie game. If I like it enough I’ll buy it because I’m all for paying indie devs.
As much as I dislike twatter, for once I agree with them as I’m a firm believer people should be able to leak things as minor as concept art or unused game art.
Considering I forgot about it and got back into it, bringing back memories, first slot definitely goes to Franklin.
I’d definitely say second would have to go to a show like Ed Edd n Eddy since I used to watch way too much of it, I think…
And third would absolutely be a toss up since I watched way too many cartoons growing up. So I’d probably have to go with Death Note since it’s the first anime I recognized as anime instead of just a cartoon back when I was in freshman year highschool.
Edit:
Someone mentioned Invader Zim and that would definitely be a contender because that show made me start to like weird and sometimes disturbing things. Here’s looking at you, Dark Harvest. Also saw an Angry Beavers mention. Definitely a close 3rd since beavers are my favorite animal thanks to that show and Franklin.
Just copy every post you find on something like LinkedIn Lunatics. Spread them out over the course of a certain interval of time since you’d hope they have spam filters, making sure to repeat the same things and continue adding stuff to the list. Do this for as many accounts as you are able to make.
Enough people do it and hopefully their AI would be constantly saying batshit things, hopefully, assuming the accounts don’t get blocked.
If they ain’t first party, they’re certainly close enough that you couldn’t tell the difference.
For some reason, when I started reading those lyrics my mind went to Sam by Meat Puppets.
