Those supposed people that have ‘nothing’ … do have something of value -> their labour and energy.
The wealthy class see them all as a cheap source of autonomous labour to be exploited for their own needs. It’s a hell of lot cheaper to round up several hundred indentured labourers or semi professional humans than it is to try to build or develop some new AI or robots when you have a steady supply of humans to do the work for you … and the cheaper you can pay them, the more money you can make off them.
And the easiest way to control those masses of poor is to keep them fed … let them have enough access to food to stay alive and struggle a bit … but never allow them to starve or go without any food because they will violently rebel. So it’s best to keep these masses of poor people fed just enough to keep them from rioting and wanting to kill their owner class. Wealthy owners learned their lesson over millennia, every historic societal revolution usually happened because the poor faced starvation and death … if you allow people to have absolutely nothing and no hope for the future, they will kill themselves and everyone around them willingly to try to change the system and overthrow any and all oppressors.
hell yeah
Easily my favorite Skeletor quote.
My personal favourite is this one.
I just find it so inspiring.
Idk, a lot of Rednecks live in squalor and wish that suffering on everyone across the world while a select few pureblood elites rake in ever more luxury.
I side with whatever seems to minimize suffering, always give the underdog benefit of doubt. I don’t really care if those suffering don’t want to be saved.
