My teen wanted to go to a movie until he found out it was $17.50. That not just driving away customers, but the industry is losing the next generation entirely

Tbh it probably costs the theater that much, it’s just that wages haven’t matched inflation for decades and streaming just utterly destroys theaters on cost. New movies coming to theaters also just mostly suck. Why would anyone want to see Marvel slop formula #2,938 when it’s nearly identical to the 2937 ones that came out before it? Even non Marvel movies are essentially Marvel movies with the action/comedy/nothing too thought provoking or interesting formula to appeal to the max number of people as possible. I remember getting extremely mad to the point of wanting to leave the movie theater during the last Marvel movie I watched because they had a scene that was almost a serious, touching moment and just had to have a stupid fart joke immediately after because God forbid anyone experiences any kind of emotions in a movie.

I’ve been reading a lot of scripts lately. You know, it’s a lot cheaper than going to the movies.

For most movies the entire plot is usually given off in the damn trailer.

You joke but there has been many movies (or games) that I just didn’t jive with but I still wanted to know how it ends.

The game soma was one of those, hated the survival horror but god damn that ending made an impact (even though I read it on Wikipedia).

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for a somewhat older movie, in my experience you can find it about half the time by going to the “videos” search tab in a browser, using any advanced search options that may exist on that browser to limit it to longer videos, and searching “(movie name) Internet Archive”.

Like I said, sounds like you need a better plug. I’ve had the same three for over a decade.

piracy. illegally watching movies for free, the way to defeat greedy streaming services. a plug is a slang term for dealer, so they mean the website you pirate from

A plug is a slang term that means source as in something you plug in to. For example, if you ever by chance figured out the direct host name of one of the servers that keeps getting rebranded over and over again, you can just directly browse its contents.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. Plug is slang for your provider. Are you speaking in metaphors?

Sure, buddy, lmao. Unless you’re posting or hosting, it’s not true. Are you going to brag about living in Westwood next?
