I didn’t know SeamOS had a desktop mode! It’s still limiting just cuz lots of industry standard software that I need for work don’t support Linux, like Autodesk and Adobe products, but at this point I don’t understand why they don’t. Linux is growing and it’s foolish to cut out such a large community. I’ll have to give SteamOS another shot on my Go.
Yep! When you open the Steam menu, you can access a full-featured desktop mode. It makes the device virtually limitless outside of the software issues you mentioned. And I agree entirely that it’s ridiculous to see these companies ignoring Linux the way they do.
