In this house we throw away the bread ties and leave the bread exposed to open air so it gets stale and feeds flies

Buy unsliced bread. It’ll last longer and piss everyone off
Just twist the bag and fold it under. That way you can more quickly access the bread.
If you don’t use enough bread to finish the bag before it goes stale, store it in the fridge.
Or store it in the freezer, and then toast it to thaw it. You’ll get toast in the end, not straight bread, but hey, suuuper long shelf life. Allows you to stock up too. :)
Yeah that’s my strategy as soon as I spot it, but I often stumble upon the scene of the crime way too late.

I’m white and it’s never occured to me to put any bread ties on any windowsills… Have I been missing out? Does that accomplish some sort of goal? 🧐
yes if your goal is to amass bread ties on your windowsill ;-)
But why? I usually throw them away. Or I put them in the junk drawer for a few years in case I find another use for them and THEN throw them away when I clean out the junk drawer… Do they have some kind of hidden potential I’m not aware of? Does leaving them on a windowsill somehow change their properties?
No lie, mine always end up there if they don’t get trashed immediately.
