Pfft, I’m doing just fine because I avoided crowdstrike for our EDR deployment lolol
This time you were the lucky one.
Crowdstrike is providing free red team activity and backup testing for all their customers! What service!
Business continuity plan testing day.
Most of my coworkers use a Mac, I don’t, I get a day off.
Alright, which one of you 🙈 the PR last night
PR?
Pull request aka merge request. Part of the approval process to add/ update code in a repository
in proprietry russia, PR merges YOU
“LGTM”
Nice, done for today.
High fives all around! Push to production, and then let’s all go hit that bar that has such terrible cell reception.
There’s got to be a better way of saying that. I love Tobias, and Michael, and Arrested Development
There’s got to be a better way of saying that.
“Did you listen to the recordings? Like we discussed?.. And you still didn’t hear it?”
Thank you for that! I love Tobias and Michael in scenes together. I think I might do an AD rewatch, of the first 3 seasons anyway
There are [considerably more than] dozens of us!
Ha, my company dodged the bullet. We’re so incompetent we didn’t ever set up LDAP and SSO in a manner correct enough to be hit by this.
I’ve felt this same combination of relief and shame. It feels like there should be a German word for it.
We switched some months ago, so that bullet flew right by as well. But it would have been really funny with almost all devs on a conference.
I’m curious. Wouldn’t a process to test this update before pushing it out everywhere have been enough too?
Like, isn’t this showing that there are a jillion companies with no testing of certain updates?
Like, even virus definition updates should be going through testing before being pushed out.
Crowstrike offers staging like this.
The update ignored the stagings set up by the customers.
Blue, blew, close enough
I’m just gonna get you a tape recorder.
Tobias, you blowhard!
